Deity is a collaborative project between art collector Subhashok Angsuvarnsiri and myself. Our partnership began when I was introduced to his private collection of Thai antique artifacts. One piece that captured my imagination was an intricately hand-carved wooden painter’s frame, traditionally used to display religious paintings on an altar.

Working with Angsuvarnsiri’s team of artisans, we created ornately carved and gilded wooden frames to house my deity sculptures. These porcelain figures inhabit individual altars, appearing as if they are performing on a theatrical stage, blending spirituality with artistry and craftsmanship.
