The Tangible Tales 2022

Art Jakarta 2022 , Jakarta
26-28 August 2022

The experiences migrants face on their journeys between countries become key episodes in their life stories, blending new skills, knowledge, and cultural exchanges with their national heritage. As a Thai-born, Melbourne-based artist, I find multiculturalism a rich source of inspiration.

In The Tangible Tales, presented at the 2022 Art Jakarta fair, my ceramic artworks are based on characters from Thai myths and broader Southeast Asian literature. Garuda and Nagas mingle with my personal creations, including ghosts, elves, and gods. I re-imagine these myths, turning them into ceramic narratives filled with epic battles, romantic twists, and supernatural tales for audiences to interpret.
