In the Everyday Shrines series, I posed the question: What if Australians believed in Thai superstitions? This led to the creation of ceramic shrines that blend Australian folklore with Thai deities.
These shrines serve as sanctuaries for reflecting on personal success or failure, inspired by the superstitious practices of my homeland, Thailand. The ritual involves offering small personal items to a powerful deity in exchange for wishes such as love, happiness, good fortune, success, or even fertility.
Through these works, I explore the merging of cultures and belief systems, creating a hybrid space for contemplation and spiritual exchange.
