Thai Na Town - Little Oz 2012

The Art Centre, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok
1 December 2012 - 16 January 2013

This public-engagement project honors the diverse migrant communities of Australia and Thailand.

I invited participants to join me in creating sculptural objects that captured what they miss most about their hometowns, driven by my own desire to connect with and share the unique stories of migration.

The project took place in two phases: first in Sydney, where I collaborated with the Thai community, and later in Bangkok, where I worked with Australian expatriates. The exhibition, ‘Thai Na Town – Little Oz,’ showcases these collaborative sculptures alongside my own works, reflecting my personal longing for Thailand.

Thai Na Town - Little Oz is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia International Cultural Council, an initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Commonwealth through the Australia-Thailand Institute.
