In this project, I explored the political and social issues of my homeland, Thailand.
Collaborating with the general public at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, I invited volunteers to paint traditional ceramic soup spoons, each featuring two elements: a cobalt blue face and the word ‘red’ or ‘yellow’ hidden on the underside.
These spoons represent the lives lost during Thailand's 2010 political conflict between the yellow-shirt and red-shirt movements.
The installation, titled 'The Country I Missed,' was completed with plasticine lotus flowers crafted by exhibition visitors and volunteers, symbolizing enlightenment and purity in Buddhism. Through this ritual, I sought to evoke communal healing and spiritual enlightenment.
