Clay For Tonga

A volcano beneath the sea off the coast of Tonga has erupted - sending tsunami waves large enough to cause devastation across the nation’s largest island. The full extent of the blast's impact remains unknown, but disaster relief campaigns have been set up in the wake of the eruption.

In a similar format to Clay For Nepal and Clay For Australia, Clay For Tonga is an online fundraising project for clay workers to come together and offer support to the people of Tonga.

It’s simple and anyone can take part. Here’s how:

1. Clay For Tonga starts on Mon 24 Jan and finishes on Sun 30 Jan (Australia time).

2. Post images of the ceramic work you wish to sell on your IG

3. Give details of size, materials, price and where you are based. Be sure to note that postage is extra.

4. Add “this work is part of @ClayForTonga" to your post. This allows me to easily share your post.

5. Make a sale and donate to any charity aimed at helping Tonga Emergency Appeal.

My suggestion is Care Australia (www.care.org.au/appeals/tonga-emergency/) CARE Australia has long standing relationships with local partners in Tonga who are ready to respond. However, Oxfam, Red Cross or a smaller organisation that supports Tonga appeal are good too.

6. DM the amount of your donation to @ClayForTonga IG to add to the total number.

7: Be sure to include and follow #ClayForTonga and @ClayForTonga⠀(https://www.instagram.com/clayfortonga/)

8. Share this far and wide.⠀

Hope you can join the project.
