This exhibition tells an uplifting story about how love transcends the boundaries of culture, law, and tradition, marking a key moment for equity in Australia.
The Course of True Love unfolds through ten narrative vignettes, each representing pivotal moments in world history that have influenced the acceptance of same-sex partnerships. Inspired by Australia's 2017 referendum on same-sex marriage, this series celebrates love without discrimination.
I chose to cast these sculptures in bronze to symbolize the strength and permanence of marriage, reflecting the commitment couples make to each other and the sacredness of this union.
