Now in its 25th year, the 2013 City of Hobart Art Prize celebrates with a national contemporary art survey by inviting entries from all media and offering a single prize of $30,000.
My mix media work Bleach has been selected for the 2013 City of Hobart Art Prize exhibition.The three judges: Max Delany (Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria), Brian Parkes (CEO, Jam Factory) and Jane Stewart (Coordinating Curator of Art, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery) carefully considered all the applications. A total of 35 works have been selected to exhibit in the finalists’ exhibition from 490 entries.
The City of Hobart Art Prize winner will be announced at the launch on Friday 19 July at 6pm in the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, followed by a preview of the exhibition.
