This fall, six ceramic artists from across America and one from Australia will join together to work on a collaborative venture at Project Art in Cummington, Massachusetts.
artKamp was envisioned by Vipoo Srivilasa, a Thai born Australian artist who works to promote international interaction between artists through social media and collaborative projects.
The participating artists will be: Benjamin Carter ; Chase Gamblin ; Mara Superior ; Bonnie M. Smith ; Frances Palmer ; Alexandra Jelleberg and Vipoo Srivilasa - ART .
Studio Potter Michael McCarthy, will welcome the artists to participate in the firing of his wood-fired kiln. Guest artists who will visit during the final weekend include Sin-ying Ho , Garth Johnson , Ayumi Horie , and Suwanee Natewong . A final dinner during that weekend, by invitation only, will be served on the art installation and in the process celebrate the completion of the project.
Project Art will host 2 artist salons during the session. Friday, September 26 and Friday, October 3 from 6 to 9pm. They are free and open to the public but are limited to 30 people. RSVP by e-mail to info@ProjectArt.com.
