Mythology Meets Archetype

Mythology Meets Archetype is curated by Heather Nameth Bren, a Northern Clay Centre exhibition committee member, professor, and ceramic artist. The exhibition will respond to personal, cultural, and religious myths that have grown out of the desire to know (or the posture to know) the unknowable.

Vipoo Srivilasa will be in residence at Northern Clay Centre, from March 7 to March 16, for a series of school and community-based workshops that will explore the City of Lakes’ rich mix of communities and a particular population’s childhood or culturally significant, mythical water creatures.  Participants will create their own water creatures, which will become part of Srivilasa’s larger exhibition installation.

Join us for a free slide lecture and discussion, with the artist, Vipoo Srivilasa; Mythology’s curator, Heather Nameth Bren.; and participating artist, Bonnie Marie Smith.  No pre-registration is required, but seating is limited.
Thursday, March 13, 6:30 pm.
