Deakin University Acquisition

Deakin University acquired Vipoo's "Love of The Nation" (elephant set) for their collection early this month.  The work respond to the recent political movement in Thailand. 

Deakin University’s Art Collection, consisting of around 1500 diverse pieces. The works include a fine collection of paintings, ceramics and sculpture and most of the Collection is contemporary in nature

This structured and well balanced Collection represents works of art of excellence and significance by principally Australian contemporary artists, in a wide range of mediums.
 

Gold Coast Award

Memoirs of Corals II has been selected for the 27th Gold Coast International Ceramic Art Award.  

The exhibition will be running from Sat 21 August - Sunday 17 September 2010 at The Art Centre, QLD.

Elegant Monster

Vipoo Srivilasa has been invited to show some of his Fortune Teller series at Gallerie Philosophie in Taipei, Taiwan during August and September.
 

Europe - research trip

During August - September, Vipoo will be taking a research trip to Europe to research on 17th Century Blue & White Chinoiserie decoration style. European Chinoiserie imitates and explores traditional Asian designs, creating a wonderful and fanciful vision of the East.
